Helping flood victims: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's stance



Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that it is the primary responsibility of the federal government to help families affected by floods and natural disasters. According to him, the Prime Minister has assured that full support will be provided for the rehabilitation and relief of the victims.

Talking to the media during his visit to Buner, the Chief Minister said that PDMA and rescue agencies are active in the affected areas and work is underway to provide immediate relief to the victims. He said that the provincial government will take steps to compensate the financial losses of the people and restore the damaged infrastructure.

Gandapur, referring to the recent cloudburst incidents in Gilgit-Baltistan, said that affected residents are being shifted to alternative locations so that their lives and property are safe. He said, "The people of our province also pay taxes and it is the responsibility of the state to stand with them in difficult times. As the Chief Minister, I promise that I will not leave the flood victims alone and will provide them with full support."
