“I still remember one evening when my parents and I came back from the cinema,” he recalls.
“To be fair to Dennis, he had laid out a newspaper on the kitchen table. But on top of it, he had completely dismantled a motorbike engine, and the parts were spread everywhere.”
He pauses, then adds: “I can picture the way he dressed, too. He was always in a duffel coat. Just an ordinary guy, really, someone who liked to enjoy life.”
